Rooster and Fox
The fairy tales of Jean de La Fontaine, a French writer who lived in the 17th century, are a lasting inspiration for many artists to create illustrations. The cheerful stories, whose protagonists are animals or humans, often surprise with an ending and moral, conveying universal truths about the world, life and human nature.
These works never become outdated, and their timelessness means that they are still eagerly read by audiences of all ages today.
The illustrations are done in frottage.
