Hania i Hania

The subject of war requires special attentiveness and consideration. A bow to its victims. I had the honour of illustrating an unusual fairy tale for children, by Joanna Rudniańska, about twin girls, separated shortly after birth, who ended up in a Polish and a Jewish family. At the outbreak of the Second World War, their fates became intertwined.


The author's concluding words:
"I dedicate this tale to the memory of a girl, Hania Rotwadówna,
who, in a sense, was both Hania X and Hania Y.
And when she grew up, she became my mother
